Abstract: The issue of the relation between imaginary and trends implies essential questions as regards the dialectics between the figurativity contained in a given socio– cultural context. and the focus on those conditions of selection that make the emergency of a trend signal, as well as its progressive passage from a polemic connotation to a consensual one, conspicuous. The paper discusses theorical questions on the different figurative stages that make an imaginary visible and provides examples of some patterns of relations between imageries and trends.
