A case of dermatitis due to larva migrans in a 33-year old man who had returned from Mexico a month before, is reported. The patient showed intensely itching papular and papular-scabby lesions and wavy-red lines on the trunk, abdomen, buttocks and lower limbs. The extension of the symptoms led us to treat the patient with systemic thiabendazole which gave excellent results. The life cycle of the central American hookworm responsible for the disease is briefly described.
