Abstract
A new family of polymeric acids containing, besides carboxylic groups, biodegradable functions in their main chain have been prepared by Michael-type polyaddition of bis(thiols) to 2,2-bis(acrylamido)-acetic acid. The ability of the same polymers to enter into coupling reactions with model compounds, as well as the possibility of using them as macromonomers, has been verified. © 1991, American Chemical Society.
