Comparing sustainable equity portfolio strategies. ABSTRACT: Within the framework of asset allocation policies aligned with sustainability criteria, this study analyses sustainable equity strategies across risk, return, and ESG performance. "ree sustainable portfolios will be examined across different time periods (long, medium, and short-term). The focus is on the following equity strategies: “Integration: Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI)” with selection process that apply traditional screening rules, reducing the investable universe of the conventional benchmark (MSCI All Country World); “Alignment: Paris-Aligned Benchmark (PAB)” with selection that meet the CO2 emission reduction parameters and “Objective: Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)” that pursue the SDGs set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The results highlight how sustainable strategies, examined under different market conditions, improve portfolio profitability, offering benefits in both returns and sustainability.
