Morphological, ultrastructural, immunological and hematological features in four cases of pleomorphic T-cell lymphoma are reported. Despite a quite normal hemogram in all the cases, a leukemic phase of disease was demonstrated by cytofluorimetric analysis of peripheral blood samples in two cases. The relatively high incidence of this finding among our cases, without bone marrow involvement, may be correlated to modification of the vascular basement membrane observed by electron microscopy.
