In this paper, the focus of the authors focuses on person-centered communication and about the need to calibrate clinical interventions integrating them with a few basic psychological skills. Here we describe three types of patients: monitorer (NTM), soppressor (NTS) and out of control (NTO) by connecting them to the disease behavior of attachment and the consequent internal working model styles, it is assumed, determines the perception of " illness "of the patient, the relative compliance to clinical treatment and the resistance change caused by the disease. Finally are proposed organizational and institutional advantages of clinical competence extended, based on a higher use of person-centered communication and care, not only of the patient's disease, but also the emotional reactions to illness
