This paper aims to provide a concise description of the experimentation of GIS methodologies for the realization of a seamless and harmonized geological database for Central Italy, especially for the Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche and Umbria regions. During the last few years, these regions have been developing a geological survey, and both public and private bodies worked together to complete the best geological products to describe and document the geological knowledge of their territory. The collaboration of these regions aims to the realization of calibrated geological mapping and began with the CARG National Project and continued later with the development of innovative technical solutions relating to the collection, archiving and distribution of geological data of any type. The geological cartography and its related geological database at the 1:10.000 scale of the whole area are made freely available by the local administrations

Abstract
The geological cartography and its related geological database at the 1:10.000 scale of the whole area are made freely available by the local administrationsFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
