Abstract (english):The new editions of Chronographiai and Kestoi of Julius Africanus (2007 and 2012), set the conditions for a reframing of the profile of this intellectual ( father of Christian historiography) based on current trends in historical christian research as the multifaceted identities and the texts in contexts. Accordingly, an approach is appropriate to the problem of the Chronographiai's christianity not as generic Christianity against the' paganism 'of Kestoi, but in the sense of Christian opinions that, in distinction from other christian variants of the context, influenced chronografic writing of the author, in a expositive typology and narrative options unusual for a historical work. The analysis of some fragments balanced between exegesis and historika shows an intense debate with gnosticism and their devaluation of the world below, with specific interventions regarding the relationship “ typos / future reality”, a story of the flood definitely built against gnostic symbolism and allegorism and a clear statement of the Passion as an event of cosmic 'com-suffering' (of Christ with the material world). In contrast with the gnostic anticosmism , we could then define philocosmic Africanus’ christianity in the Chronographiai because of an emphasis on solidarism between eons that is its feature : a sensitivity to Africanus resulting from his high social position and environments frequented.
