A new PS-DVB supported phthalic anhydride and UHP (urea-hydrogen peroxide complex) have been used for metal-free alkene epoxidation reactions. The resin was prepared by MW mediated 'PEGylation' of Merrifield resin followed by esterification with trimellitic anhydride chloride.
