Odontogenic keratocysts (OKC) are benign, recurrent neoformations developing from epithelial rests of the dental lamina and involving maxillary bones. OKC, for their high incidence of recurrence, are considered as tumours, so a correct, early diagnosis and total exeresis may prevent the risk of recidivation. We report a case of a 14-year-old girl affected with OKC associated with the rare Gorlin's syndrome, in which the treatment was evaluated with computerized axial tomography scanning.

Abstract
Odontogenic keratocysts (OKC) are benign, recurrent neoformations developing from epithelial rests of the dental lamina and involving maxillary bones. OKC, for their high incidence of recurrence, are considered as tumours, so a correct, early diagnosis and total exeresis may prevent the risk of recidivation. We report a case of a 14-year-old girl affected with OKC associated with the rare Gorlin's syndrome, in which the treatment was evaluated with computerized axial tomography scanning.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
