The method seems to be suitable for a series of different purposes, and in different fields, from medical to financial sector. Life insurance companies are for instance in a position to use an early and accurate diagnostic tool, in order to identify individuals at risk for liver and cardiovascular diseases in a population of seemingly healthy subjects. Nevertheless, the approach may be exploited to discriminate between hi- and low-performing enterprises or intermediaries, looking at their probability of default. And so on.
