Recently, deep water applications have emerged due to the increased costs involved in platform erection and maintenance for the maximum exploitation of proved oil reserves. Actually, under-water applications widely use offshore platforms. Nevertheless this kind of installation brings back some problems due to the severe maintenance and safety standards of operation and procedures involved. The Blue-C compressor solution has been though to allow the demanding of maintenance actions to a special vessel devoted to this particular purpose. The paper aims to identify the proper maintenance intervals and the reliability properties for this new item.

Abstract
Recently, deep water applications have emerged due to the increased costs involved in platform erection and maintenance for the maximum exploitation of proved oil reserves. Actually, under-water applications widely use offshore platforms. Nevertheless this kind of installation brings back some problems due to the severe maintenance and safety standards of operation and procedures involved. The Blue-C compressor solution has been though to allow the demanding of maintenance actions to a special vessel devoted to this particular purpose. The paper aims to identify the proper maintenance intervals and the reliability properties for this new item.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
