Metastatic spread from a tumor originating outside the peritoneal cavity rarely involves the small intestine. In malignant melanoma, however, the small bowel is quite often involved as a metastatic form. Small bowel metastatic melanomas are generally not clinically detectable in the early stage and diagnosis is made only when complications occur. We report a case of late recurrence of malignant melanoma presenting with small bowel intussusception.
