From a time-dependent analysis of the decay Bd0→π+π−B^0_{d} o pi^+ pi^-Bd0→π+π− and using a model-dependent AP/ATA_P/A_TAP/AT ratio of the penguin-to-tree amplitudes contributing to the decay, both the weak phase αalphaα and the strong phase shift difference δdeltaδ can be extracted from the data. The value of the weak phase βetaβ, expected to be measured from the decay Bd0→J/ψKSB^0_{d} o J/psi K_SBd0→J/ψKS, is used to parameterize the value of AP/ATA_P/A_TAP/AT and the corresponding penguin correction to the observed asymmetry in Bd0→π+π−B^0_{d} o pi^+ pi^-Bd0→π+π−
