HIGH SCROTAL SINGLE-INCISION FOR TRE TREATMENT OF GROIN HERNIA REPAIR: Our aim was to evaluate the utility of the high scrotal single-incision approach for the treatment of and to assess long-term follow-up. We reviewed the records of groin hernia repair performed between 2000 and 2002. We treated 287 male patients with inguinal hernia; we exeluded patients treated for emergeney pathology, patients with recurrency and with age less than one year. ll patent processes vaginalis were ligated via the scrotal incision, regardless of their size. 76 patient presented right hemia, 60 lefth hemia, bilateral hernia in 6 patients. Regular postoperative management in all patients. Recurrency in 3 childrens. Bianchi's tecnique is a safe and usefull one.
