Among the single stage procedures for urethral reconstruction, skin graft urethroplasty has been considered the most versatile. Preputial skin or penile shaft skin are the best suited for urethral reconstruction, but even hairless scrotal flap can be employed. In our experience on 134 cases of urethral strictures managed by skin graft urethroplasty, satisfactory results were observed in over 90% of cases. This procedure has a high success rate, but clearly has limitations.
