This paper discusses Goodwin’s views on the relationship between aggregate and disaggregate analyses, and their complex and varying relationship with the manifold issues involved in the explanation of observed economic dynamics. It is argued that, out of a delicate marriage a quatre between linear and non-linear with disaggregated and aggregate formulations, coupled in a variety of forms, a novel analysis of disequilibrium phenomena was struggling to come to life.

Abstract
This paper discusses Goodwin’s views on the relationship between aggregate and disaggregate analyses, and their complex and varying relationship with the manifold issues involved in the explanation of observed economic dynamics. It is argued that, out of a delicate marriage a quatre between linear and non-linear with disaggregated and aggregate formulations, coupled in a variety of forms, a novel analysis of disequilibrium phenomena was struggling to come to life.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
