Breast carcinoma is infrequently observed in the male sex. Its insidious evolution and the lack of attention paid by male patients to any lesion of the breast often retards the diagnosis and worsens the prognosis. We report the case of a male patient with a nodular lesion of the right breast which had been growing for more than one year. Histological examination of a biopsy specimen revealed an infiltrating ductal carcinoma of the breast. The patient underwent mastectomy. Within a few months, the patient had a local recurrence which was surgically removed. The surgical field was also irradiated with a total dose of 60 Gy. After two years, the patient is apparently healthy. Dermatologists should pay attention to this neoplasm, since early diagnosis is crucial for a good prognosis.

Abstract
Dermatologists should pay attention to this neoplasm, since early diagnosis is crucial for a good prognosis.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
