Health impact assessment (HIA) is very recent in Italy. One ofthe first HIAs was researched to evaluate possible impacts derived from the creation of a damp zone and to identify the direct and indirect costs for the management of the damp zone. The presentation focuses on the method and results from the HIA as well as its effects on the decision-making process.
