This paper describes the theory and the application of a digital phase and quadrature demodulation technique operating directly on the radiofrequency ultrasonic. Doppler signal. Such digital technique allows to use an ultrasonic linear array to investigate the blood flow from multiple directions in real time. An electronic interface to a commercial echographic equipment, provided with a 128 elements-5MHz ultrasonic probe, was designed to investigate the velocity of the blood flow along two different directions. Experimental results obtained in vitro are reported.

Abstract
This paper describes the theory and the application of a digital phase and quadrature demodulation technique operating directly on the radiofrequency ultrasonic. Doppler signal. Such digital technique allows to use an ultrasonic linear array to investigate the blood flow from multiple directions in real time. An electronic interface to a commercial echographic equipment, provided with a 128 elements-5MHz ultrasonic probe, was designed to investigate the velocity of the blood flow along two different directions. Experimental results obtained in vitro are reported.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
