CzeV216 is a star discovered by Václav Pribík in 2011 and cataloged in the Variable Star Index of The American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO) as a variable star of undefined nature. The SSV-UAI-GRAV, the variable star section of the Unione Astrofili Italiani (UAI), conducted an observational campaign between 2026 February and March to determine its variability. CzeV216 was found to be a BY Draconis-type variable with a variability between magnitudes 15.7 and 15.9 g over a period of 0.161059 day. Thanks to observations from the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae survey over the previous 10 yr, flares of 2 mag typical of UV Ceti-type eruptive stars were also detected. The star CzeV216 was therefore reclassified as a BY+UV-type variable with a variation between magnitudes 13.9 and 15.9 g.

Abstract
The star CzeV216 was therefore reclassified as a BY+UV-type variable with a variation between magnitudes 13.9 and 15.9 g.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
