Since its birth, the concept of the Anthropocene has been defined as the problem of technology in relationship to man and nature. This approach primarily involves environmental and ethical issues and partially concerns aesthetic thought. This article constitutes an attempt to rethink the concept of the Anthropocene by focusing on aesthetics. This means moving the focus from technological objects to human aspects and considering, according to Nietzsche, human life as a work of art. Anthropocene is now defined as a new utopian era where Apollonian and Dionysian forces, as well as health and illness describe existence in aesthetic, tragic and «untimely» terms.
