ESG becomes an aspect of the banking business and involves the assessment of risks for banks’ counterparties. The consequences are many. The topic is in a study phase. This essay considers the ESG banking business, the onset of risks for counterparties, presents the rules on information and what the regulatory perspectives of the reform proposed by the European Commission could be.
