The article proposes a reflection on the forms of “taking the floor” in hate speech. A kind of discourse that is considered here as a modern form of what Nietzsche called Ressentiment. Instead of dwelling on the peculiar characteristics of the statements that constitute this genre, already widely studied by linguistics, the article proposes to observe hate speech in its dynamics of enunciation. In this perspective, it is configured as a phenomenon of flow, or, in the terms of Deleuze and Guattari, as a collective chain of enunciation. As such, it appears to be characterized by peculiar rhythms and by the continuous modulation of the form of subjectivity that speaks. A subjectivity always in tension between “I” and “we”, between the self-affirmation of the enunciating instance, as “I”, and its dissolution in the “we” that implicitly governs hate speech.

Abstract
A subjectivity always in tension between “I” and “we”, between the self-affirmation of the enunciating instance, as “I”, and its dissolution in the “we” that implicitly governs hate speech.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
