SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has profoundly changed everyday life throughout the world. Like most scientific journals, Minerva Anestesiologica has given space to a series of articles on the epidemic's problems. First, we published a consensus on intensive care resources' rational use by a panel of intensivists who worked in Lombardy during the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic first outbreak, which made more than 11,000 victims in a few months.1 Based on the authors' experience and the available literature, the document was aimed to identify Intensive Care Unit (ICU) indications and requirements and optimal ventilatory and non-ventilatory management.
