Neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunctions (N-LUTD) are a common finding among several neurological conditions such as spinal cord injury (SCI), multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease (PD) and may lead to serious complications (e.g. recurrent urinary infections and deterioration of renal function).1 Patient’s awareness of their urologic condition is of paramount importance both for allowing a precocious and effective treatment of the complications and for improving the comprehension and acceptance of their symptoms. ChatGPT is a recently-introduced natural language processing (NLP) tool created by OpenAI2, 3 which allows people to easily obtain answers also to medical questions and may play a role also in improving the diffusion of correct medical information about N-LUTDs. At best of our knowledge, however, the accuracy of ChatGPT in answering to questions related to N-LUTS still has to be evaluated. © 2024 EDIZIONI MINERVA MEDICA.
