La polizia della Repubblica. Scienze sociali e storia a partire da qualche studio recente

The aim of the article is twofold. On the one hand, four recent books written by social scientists and devoted to the contemporary Italian police are examined. They are analysed in their contents and for how much (a lot) they can be useful to historians in-terested in police affairs. On the other hand, also based upon these readings, a series of levels and topics are detailed which should be kept in mind if writing the history of contemporary police forces. © FrancoAngeli.
