Starting from the debate on the ’89 Pink Floyd concert, the article aims to analyze the longstanding conflicts risen in Venice between the so called “innovators” and “conservatives”. Through the emergence of the crowd of fans as a new actor on the stage, the purpose is to explore the possibility of a third position on the matter, one that beyond the two mentioned factions could prefigurate a different use of the city, to be imagined from the perspective of the urban multitudes rather then from the one of the spectacular machine.

Abstract
Starting from the debate on the ’89 Pink Floyd concert, the article aims to analyze the longstanding conflicts risen in Venice between the so called “innovators” and “conservatives”. Through the emergence of the crowd of fans as a new actor on the stage, the purpose is to explore the possibility of a third position on the matter, one that beyond the two mentioned factions could prefigurate a different use of the city, to be imagined from the perspective of the urban multitudes rather then from the one of the spectacular machine.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
