Il diritto europeo della banca e della finanza tra passato e futuribile (European banking and finance law between past and future)

In just a few pages, the essay concentrates almost half a century of European law aimed at harmonizing national legislation first on banking and then on other financial intermediaries. The objectives are: a) to investigate, frequently with a critical eye, the techniques gradually adopted; b) to acknowledge the most significant milestones for the epochal changes that gave impetus to the European project. A project aimed at strengthening integration and union between the countries benefiting from the single market, anchored to the freedoms defined by the Treaty of Rome of 1957. Throughout the work, the Author also considers, at a synchronic level, the interrelationships between Europe and the forum of international organizations delegated to define the standards of an increasingly interconnected and globalized market. The attempt to link past and present, with reference to the Italian legal system in the background, has also allowed us to glimpse some possible perspectives for the future.
