On the basis of a new collation of the testimonia, which for the first time takes into account the Ferrara manuscript (Biblioteca Comunale Ariostea, Cl. II 117) and two manuscripts of Meteora (Monē Barlaam 203 and Monē Metamorphōseōs 34, the latter most likely the antigraph of the mss. E = Modena, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria, a.P.7.16 and V = Wien, Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Phil. Gr. 192), a new edition of the recensio b of the Philogelos is provided.
