Eight populations of Dicyrtomina saundersi and seven populations of D. ornata were tested with the method of allonym electrophoresis. The aim of the study was to evaluate the levels of genetic variation in each population and intra- and interspecific differentiation. The results showed different levels of genetic variability, with D. saundersi being more polymorphic than D. ornata, and quite a high degree of genetic divergence between the two species

Abstract
