This paper addresses the problem of rsnking distributions of attributes in terms of poverty, when the attributes are represented by binary variables. To accomplish this task a suitable notion of 'multidimensional poverty line' is introduced. The Head-Count and the Attribute Gap rankings are characterized. Applications to poverty data for EU Countries are also provided and discussed.
