It has been found in different countries that university students, due to social isolation following the Covid-19 pandemic, had increased stress levels. In this study, Italian university students (N = 492) have completed an online questionnaire designed to detect their living and study conditions, their levels of stress, mental well-being and interference/enhancement between study and private life. The results showed that the levels of stress reported and related to the lockdown period were considerable, and correspondingly the levels of mental well-being were low. These results are even more marked for female college students, but they can only be partially explained by factors such as study-life interference and increased attendance at lectures.

Abstract
It has been found in different countries that university students, due to social isolation following the Covid-19 pandemic, had increased stress levels. In this study, Italian university students (N = 492) have completed an online questionnaire designed to detect their living and study conditions, their levels of stress, mental well-being and interference/enhancement between study and private life. The results showed that the levels of stress reported and related to the lockdown period were considerable, and correspondingly the levels of mental well-being were low. These results are even more marked for female college students, but they can only be partially explained by factors such as study-life interference and increased attendance at lectures.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
