Legislation on political communication is constitutionally necessary in contemporary liberal democracies. This essay analyzes the modes in which the independent regulatory authorities of the audiovisual sector, connecting with each other, they have contributed to the construction and improvement of a common model of such legislation in the European context. This process was born, at the beginning of the present century, in the radio and television sector and is now being extended to new forms of communication on the digital network. The issue that has turned out to be particularly delicate appears to be that of identifying a common vision with regard to paid political advertising.

Abstract
Legislation on political communication is constitutionally necessary in contemporary liberal democracies. This essay analyzes the modes in which the independent regulatory authorities of the audiovisual sector, connecting with each other, they have contributed to the construction and improvement of a common model of such legislation in the European context. This process was born, at the beginning of the present century, in the radio and television sector and is now being extended to new forms of communication on the digital network. The issue that has turned out to be particularly delicate appears to be that of identifying a common vision with regard to paid political advertising.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
