La comunicazione politica in transizione e la persistente centralità della par condicio radiotelevisiva

Radio and television political communication, among the various forms of political communication, is the one that has been, to date, the object of the greatest attention in terms of regulation in Italy. This paper aims to represent a moment of reflection on this issue, which appears necessary in light of the extreme complexity that the world of communication has come to assume in the present hystorical moment. It is then analyzed the complex background of the discipline that the Italian legislator, on the basis of an unequivocal framework of constitutional principles, as interpreted by a uniform jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court, has developed over time. On this basis, the continuing relevance of this medium in the processes of political communication and the need for the permanence of a rigorous discipline are assessed, like the exogenous (Internet) and endogenous (digital technology) factors that have gradually affected the characteristics of the radio and television medium. such as the current one. The conclusion of the research is in the affirmative, but on the basis of the detection of a growing importance of online political communication, the adequate discipline of which must already be the subject of careful reflection.
