The history of sport has experienced a flourishing of studies in recent years as well as a renewed legitimacy in the academic and non-academic fields. Some phenomena, such as that of sporting fandom, have gradually become the subject of historical investigation: many aspects have therefore been taken into consideration. What is still missing is an analysis of how the fans have used, reproduced and re-signified the narrative of the story.

La storia dello sport ha conosciuto negli ultimi anni un fiorire di studi oltre che una rinnovata legittimazione in ambito accademico e non. Alcuni fenomeni, come quello delle tifoserie sono progressivamente divenuti oggetto di indagine storica: molti aspetti sono perciò stati presi in esame. Quello che ancora manca è un 'analisi di come i tifosi hanno utilizzato, riprodotto e risignificato la narrazione della storia.
