In most years epidemics of influenza cause a significant increase in morbidity and mortality rates worldwide. It is well known that during these periods also the number of hospitalisations increases, with a considerable effect on healthcare system, often stretching limited resources. Vaccination is globally accepted as the main tool for the prevention of the disease. People of all ages at higher risk and persons more than 64 years old are recommended for being vaccinated in our Country.
