The question of the ontological status of virtuality is part of the renewed interest for the Lebniz and Gentile’s studies. Last research of Ilich Molin on the “virtuality of the act” could be inscribed and entitled as an attempt at a Gentile’s foundation of the concept of actualism through an a-systematic analysis of the virtuality of the act, where the problem of conciliation is solved of the two opposing needs, metaphysical and gnoseologic, of the universality and of the individuality. In this exchange between the two philosophers of being, Molin identifies a subtle and innovative ontological link that imposes itself as a present and original presence. The virtuality of the act refers to the ontological origin of the “born/generated”, not as an origin ex nihilo, but as a “come to light” of something or someone who “is already” and “remains” in being absolute.
