The intangible cultural goods: a category looking for autonomy This paper highlights the absolute need for a comprehensive legislative action regarding intangible cultural goods, by identifying the practicable possible courses of action with a de iure condendo view. These lines range from elaboration of the notional profiles, to techniques for the safeguarding of intangible goods, actually to highlight the role played by the private sectors (through the heritage communities) in reproduction and in preservation of the community memory, also through the "ecomuseums". At the same time it should be stressed that the intangible cultural heritage is able to improve the business potential and the supply of tourism services, with positive effects on employment and investment policies.
