Le pulci a Bembo. Su alcune forme non auree delle "Prose"

The paper investigates some linguistic forms that Bembo used in the "Prose" (and not in the "Prose" only), which until now have attracted little or not at all the interest of scholars: phonetic and morphological outcomes that are not typical of the fourteenth century Florentine (as "comperazione" in place of "comparazione" or "anco" ‘anche’) or are typical of the late Tuscan vernacular (like "arò / arei" or "sete" in place of "siete"). We will try to enter the Bembo’s literary workshop to examine the various dynamics, often interacting, which gave the pass to some linguistic forms that we can synthetically qualify as not typical of Boccaccio’s prose. For this purpose, ample space will be granted – as well as the verification of any grammatical debts contracted especially with Fortunio and Liburnio – to the observation of two fundamental reference models on which Bembo has built his fourteenth century Florentine, i.e. the texts that he had available with greater continuity of the two most mentioned works in the "Prose": the important "Decameron" edition printed in Venice by Gregorio de Gregori for the care of Nicolò Dolfin in 1516 and the fifteenth-century manuscript n. 1534 of the Biblioteca Riccardiana in Florence containing the "Cronica" (or "Nuova cronica") by Giovanni Villani.

Il contributo indaga alcune forme linguistiche adoperate da Bembo nelle "Prose" (e non solo nelle "Prose") che finora poco o per nulla hanno attirato l’interesse degli studiosi: esiti fonomorfologici che o non appartengono al fiorentino (come "comperazione" per "comparazione" o "anco" per "anche") ovvero sono toscanismi di tipo argenteo (come il tipo "arò / arei" o "sete" per "siete"). Si proverà a entrare nel cantiere letterario del principe dei grammatici per vedere quali siano state le varie dinamiche, spesso interagenti, che hanno dato il lasciapassare nella sua scrittura a talune forme linguistiche che possiamo sinteticamente qualificare come non boccacciane. A tal fine, ampio spazio sarà concesso – oltre che alla verifica di eventuali debiti grammaticografici contratti segnatamente con Fortunio e Liburnio – all’osservazione soprattutto di due fondamentali modelli di riferimento sui quali Bembo ha costruito nel tempo il proprio fiorentino trecentesco, ovvero i testi che egli ebbe con maggiore continuità a disposizione delle due opere più citate nelle "Prose": l’importante edizione del "Decameron" impressa a Venezia per le cure di Nicolò Dolfin da Gregorio de Gregori nel 1516 e il quattrocentesco manoscritto 1534 della Biblioteca Riccardiana di Firenze che reca la "Cronica" (o "Nuova cronica", col più recente editore) di Giovanni Villani.
