The so called Tragic Pleias was and still is considered as an Alexandrian poetical circle of the III century B.C. This article aims to demonstrate that this Pleias was neither a “circle” nor an Alexandrian literary movement. Rather the poets of this group – in their quality as tragic poets – seem to belong to different cultural areas of Greece.
La Pleiade dei tragici ellenistici non operò almeno in massima parte ad Alessandria, ma in Grecia.
