Contemporary challenges do not require parents to satisfy only material needs, but also to adopt new perspectives of meaning or to reframe familiar and routine stories to understand and manage critical events into everyday life. So, these new needs have legitimized the emergence of pedagogic counselling practices increasingly focused on enhancing informal familial knowledge by facilitating social learning with and between families. The paper show some of the characteristics of this new pedagogical consulting approach.
