Abstract—Diagnosis of benign or malignant melanocytic skin lesions (MSL) with various degree of regression deserves particular attention, as overlapping features are frequent. Discriminating between regressing nevi and melanomas with regression rest challenge from clinical, dermoscopic and even histological point of view. We thus aimed to test the performance of digital dermoscopy analysis (DDA), (i.e., computer-aided diagnosis), in distinguish between a series of difficult regressing MSL. Some numerical variables which were significant for differentiating MwR from NwR were identified. DDA proved to be a feasible and reliable non invasive diagnostic method that can increase diagnostic accuracy of regressing MSL.
