Public governance is today the main theoretical reference to public management scholars worldwide. For this reason the Editorial Board of the Journal of Management and Governance accepted the proposal to develop this special issue with the intention of expanding research on the topic. Articles on citizens’ participation, human resources management practices, accounting and any other public management domain were submitted. The emerged fil rouge was collaboration. Therefore, we made the decision to focus on networks—i.e. ways to manage and evaluate these—as one of the main public governance challenges for public managers. The four articles that compose this special issue are the result of the recent evolution of network studies, going beyond rhetoric to assess the real benefits of collaboration and the determinants of its performance. This special issue makes several contributions to the public governance theory in general and to network management in particular.

Abstract
This special issue makes several contributions to the public governance theory in general and to network management in particular.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
