Abstract: In this article I explain the concept of the Untimely focusing on some mythological ‘heroes’ of Nietzsche’s youth. These three characters are: Prometheus, Ermanaric and Theognis of Megara. What Nietzsche sees in them is a lifestyle model completely separated from everyday life and common sense. A general power against Gods’s order (Prometheus), laws (Ermanaric) and social structures (Theognis) is the main peculiarity of this notion. Probably, this is the first time that Nietzsche face himself with the Untimely.
