I segni di una tecnica. Alcune considerazioni attorno a rigore terminologico e lessico delle citazioni nella scrittura dei giuristi romani.

Through the investigation of a few (exemplary) fragments coming from the jurisprudential literature between II and III century A.D., this article examines some peculiar features of language and argumentation of the Roman jurists. In particular, the author dwells upon their (flexible, but) strict terminology in describing cases, explaining and justifing the respective solutions, quoting and praising – or causing a difference of opinions – the thought of other prudentes (especially through valuations of veritas, elegantia or ratio with regard to previous interpretations and theories).
