We present a system for the automated testing and characterization of electrostatic measurement chains to be used for the condition monitoring of turbo machineries, through the detection of moving charged debris expelled with the exhaust gases. The proposed system can be used to evaluate the response of the measurement chain from different point of views, emulating a variety of operating conditions and measurement setups, in terms of electrostatic sensor displacement, geometries, dimensions, debris charge, shape speed and trajectory.

Abstract
We present a system for the automated testing and characterization of electrostatic measurement chains to be used for the condition monitoring of turbo machineries, through the detection of moving charged debris expelled with the exhaust gases. The proposed system can be used to evaluate the response of the measurement chain from different point of views, emulating a variety of operating conditions and measurement setups, in terms of electrostatic sensor displacement, geometries, dimensions, debris charge, shape speed and trajectory.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
