Statistical research on a corpus of Latin letters-collections from Cicero to Plinius to Augustine, Abaelard and Petrarch with analysis of the constants which appear in every collection and of individual features which characterize single corpora or authors. Particular attention is payed to the most frequent words or words-sequences, the distribution of a special subset of function words and the overlap of lexical forms between every couple of authors.
