In this research we investigate the interactions between odorous molecules and human olfactory receptor OR 17-40. The principal questions we wish to address are to build a 3D model of OR 17-40, to identify the ligand binding pocket in OR 17-40, to measure the affinity of OR 17-40 to new molecules.
