The Wonji Fault Belt is the active part of the Main Ethiopian Rift. In order to evaluate the deformation occurring along this part of the Rift a GPS network has been installed and measured during 3 campaigns covering a span of 3 years. The data have been processed using 2 different softwares. The results obtained are similar, the overall opening velocity of the WFB is 10 ± 4 mm/yr, although some of the inner benchmarks show even higher velocities.

Abstract
The Wonji Fault Belt is the active part of the Main Ethiopian Rift. In order to evaluate the deformation occurring along this part of the Rift a GPS network has been installed and measured during 3 campaigns covering a span of 3 years. The data have been processed using 2 different softwares. The results obtained are similar, the overall opening velocity of the WFB is 10 ± 4 mm/yr, although some of the inner benchmarks show even higher velocities.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
